Many people using homelessness services have experienced complex trauma.  Understanding trauma can ensure that you can adapt your approach and provide the right support 


This course is suitable for support workers, frontline managers and senior managers, and can be delivered as part of a consultancy package to transform your services.

What you will learn

  • What is complex trauma
  • How complex trauma impacts people's physiology, emotions and behaviour 
  • How services can avoid re-traumatising people and support their recovery


This training is also available as a two-day course to include time to practice creative keyworking methods and tools, and to consider support and wellbeing for frontline workers.
